Over the weekend I got a random bruise on the back of my upper leg. At first it was so painful it hurt to walk. It stopped hurting but now it looks like its getting bigger. I don't remember ever doing anything to hurt myself either. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

The thing was, I am so used to getting bumped, that I don't even think about it anymore. Until, I see a big bruise pop up and then think, hum, where did that come from. Sometimes, you will get bruises and never know how you got it, but usually it came from somewhere, you just can't remember it. Now, bruises tend to get worse before they get better. It is painful, but if you were to apply an ice pack on the bruise, this could help alleviate the pain. Like the other advicenator said, if you start experiencing this more frequently or the bruises get worse without signs of improvement, seek medical attention, just to be on the safe side. Hell, I even dislocated my jaw once before, only because I toss and turn in the night. If you are concerned, yes seek professional medical advice. If you are doing something in your sleep, they should be able to provide you with a prescribed sedative. [ ChevyIINova's advice column | Ask ChevyIINova A Question ]

Sometimes, when your nerves get pinched, a bruise will form even if it didn't hurt. I wouldn't worry too much about it, unless you see them on a weekly basis. If you do, you may want to see a doctor. If not, don't worry too much about it. I know a lot of people that get random bruises.
