How do you get back in shape once you let yourself go? I have been on the bc shot and i have put on 30 lbs. How could I lose that in the next 3 months?
So it's important to keep yourself hydrated! So 6-8 glasses of water a day.
Work out everyday. Don't just work out on the weekends, it's a daily routine. Maybe run on the tredmill for a half hour and the do a couple crunches. Your body works better with consistency, if you're consistent you'll lose more weight faster.. PROMISE!
One of the most important is diet. Don't listen to everyone when they so low card high diet, uhh. What works for everyone is a fast metabolism. Lucky people are naturally born with one, but like most we're not. I would eat 5-6 meals a day, BUT IT'S SO IMPORTANT THAT YOU KEEP IN MIND THEY'RE SMALL AND HEALTHY. One meal could be a salad, and the next half a sanwhich. Something to keep your stomach always going! Caffeine and spicy peppers have been proven to do this.
AngelofMercy answered Monday January 21 2008, 6:10 pm: Oh, the horror of being on bc. Depo is the worse at that. The hormones in your body and your shot causes a higher estrogen level in your body. Birth control does have a tendency to cause weight gain. Here is my suggestions that will help you lose weight and keep it off.
First, make sure that you drink plenty of water, 8-8 ounces a day, at least.
Second, go on a high protein, low carb, sugar, and fat intake diet. If you don't like the word diet, transfer it to eating healthy. Fish, boneless, skinless chicken breast (baked), fresh veggies and fruit, whole grain breads and pastas.
Finally, exercise. It doesn't have to be anything overwhelming. Just walk for 30 mins a day, carrying hand weights. Get a jump rope and do that for 5 mins. at least a day. Also, you can get an exercise ball and follow the routine they provide for you. I would do this every other day. The total amount for exercise equipment, when done the way I provided, from Wal-Mart, will be around $20. Cheap and easy.
