I have a 9 month old German Shepard that I just got for Christmas. From what we know it has never chewed anything yet but it just tore up my couch. On top of that it has started to piddle in front of me. Not all the time just now and then. Though it does it in front of female women all the time. Any advice?
Additional info, added Friday December 28 2007, 9:26 pm: Piddling means she gets nervous and pees in front of you sorry.. Want to answer more questions in the Domesticity category? (i hope you don't) It just makes them more aggressive, and not to mention it's mean. Also don't rub her nose in her pee because that's just mean, too, and doesn't teach them anything. She is still pretty young, so chewing might happen. When she does this, gasp (dogs seem to know they did something wrong) and say "NO". She should learn to stop chewing things. And give her time to get used to her new home. Obviously she's going to be nervous, until she gets used to everyone and everything. So give her lots of love and let her know she has nothing to be afraid of.she might stop peeingshe gets more used to her new home, but maybe you would want to feed her at certain times of the day. Each time after you give her food and water, about 10 minutes later, bring her outside and every time you do, say something like "go peepee". She'll then get used to that and know to go to the bathroom when you say that. Good luck and congrats on your new puppy! :o) [ Lilcutie3346's advice column | Ask Lilcutie3346 A Question ]

Then when if it still pees, show it the spot and say "Bad" or "No" firmly. You can also send it outside for a little while just in case it still has to pee. The dog will get the idea.
If this doesnt work, you can always call up your vet and see what they recommend.
Good luck, and happy new year!
