weight losss.

Question Posted Friday December 14 2007, 8:57 pm

im 14 years old, f. and i weigh 155lbs.
i was wondering if this would work, if i eat like 200calories for breakfast, 100calories for lunch, then go to the gym, and burn like 500-800 calories, then go eat dinner,.
would i lose weight that way, i really need to lose it quickly, and i want to keep it off, and if this isint going to keep it off then i don't want to do it.
but i want to lose about 3-4 lbs a week, if possible.

okay, its going to be difficult to lose 3-4 lbs a week, healthily that is.

just eat healthy. thats the key-no sweets. at least try to cut them out. and only eat one plateful of dinner. dont go back for more. unless you are hungry of course. but DO NOT eat just to eat. i know that its hard sometimes. food is yummy.
and 155 isnt that heavy. how tall are you? thats another question to ask yourself. becuase i am 16 and about 97 lbs. but i am only 4' 10" so thats normal for me. but its not doing to be impossible to get to a weight you are comfortable with.

but yes, cutting back on cal.s and working out more will work. but make sure you are still eating a healthy amt.

i would say eat about 3-4 pieces of bread or pasta servings (the hard carbs) every day, 1-2 fruits and 1-3 veggies, drink a couple glasses of milk and maybe one of those 60 calorie yogurts for breakfast? thats what i eat usually. along with about 3 bottles of water is healthy, and a small piece of meat/fish.
it sounds like alot when im writing it down, but thats it. a day would look something like:
breakfast: yogurt or fruit
lunch: pbj sandwich with little carrots and apple slices
dinner: small steak, 2 veggies on side
all day: 3 waters, milk somewhere during the day

then try to work out or some form of exercise every day. i run pretty much every day for anywhere between 20 and 40 min. but i enjoy going running so its different for everyone. find an activity that you enjoy.

you need to burn more calories then what you put in always. that doesnt mean eat some nasty big mac from mcdonalds that has 700 calories and go work out because it isnt good for your body. as long you give it the right foods your body will thank you. so before you know it, the body you wanted, will be given...but its a 50/50 thing here.

I was definitely in your shoes at that age and weighed approximately the same that you do now. I would enjoy being 14 years old and not worry so much about your weight! In a few years you will find that you will blossom naturally and your weight should even itself out. As a young person you need to eat healthy and eat enough to grow on! Don't start unhealthy habits at such a young age that could eventually turn into a serious eating disorder. Good luck and best wishes!

Thats a good way to loose weight fast, but ive heard that loosing it slowly will keep it off , and if you loose weight fast then it will most likely be gained again. Try 1500 calories a day and working out for 2 hours or something. That should be good and if not just cut down by 100 calories. But I don't suggest going under 1200 calories.

That's really good that you want to shed off some pounds, but don't overdue it. If you try to lose a lot of wait by not eating as healthy as you should be to only gain a certain amount of calories a day, and then burning them off, it may result in health problems. Eat a regular diet, you should go to [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) and it will let you know what a proper diet is. You might also want to work out a couple times a week, it helps build ,muscle and takes some of the fat of your body. Three to four pounds a week isn't as easy as it sounds, but you'll get to your goal wait in no time if you stay healthy and work out reguarly.
Good luck! Hope I helped
