when would be a good time to put up a christmas tree? i was thinking firtd day of december, but thats a little early isnt it?

after today(thanksgiving) is when alot of people put thiers up..it lasts..and it keeps you in the christmas spirit!

Well, my family celebrates New Year's like you would Christmas, so we need the tree to last 'til then. We get it about two weeks before Christmas, and its still green by the end of February.

A lot of folks put it up day after Thanksgiving and leave until New Year's Day.
But it's really whenever you WANT to do it. If you feel December 1st is too early, then wait until it feels like the right time to you.
You could put it up Christmas Eve if you wanted to.

According to my Mom the day that you traditionally could start putting up Christmas decorations is the day after Thanksgiving.
