Oh gosh I use to go to a public school that had uniforms! I hated it but there are a lot of good reasons for it.
1. To lessen crime rate (gangs are less)
2. So people will get made fun of less b/c there all wearing the same thing
3. It makes the school look good and everyone looks proffesional.
4. I don't agree with this statement, but a lot of people would say it makes the scores of the school better
Those are just a few and there are mant more.
Hope I helped.

xoxo,
dottie4

*It's believed wearing uniforms helps students to behave better and work better overall, because dressing in uniforms gives a professional look and feel. I remember at school if someone turned up to a test without full uniform on, they weren't allowed to take it.
*It will help cut down forms of bullying if people are dressed the same. There is no need to dress up to impress your peers and show which "groups" you belong to. Everybody is equal. This doesn't mean you still can't be individual.
*It helps to show which school you belong to. and just say you went on a school trip and got lost, people would automatically know where you came from.
*If someone happens to trespass into the school, it will be easy to spot who doesn't belong there, generally making school that bit safer.
*Noone will have to worry about getting in trouble for dressing inappropriately (too short skirts etc)
*Uniforms can accommodate religious beliefs.
*You know what you are going to wear each morning!

I'm not sure why you are asking, but if you are trying to convince your public school to get uniforms, it wont work, because uniforms cost money and public schools can't make their students spend money (because a lot of kids may be poor)....however....
I go to private school, and i wear a uniform...and some good reasons include
1. they create an equalization...they make everyone look equal
2. they allow the pressure of designer clothing to not exsist...you can't necessarily tell someone's social status by the way they look at school
3. its muchhh easier to get ready for school in the morning
4. it removes the distraction of "slutty" girls, and allows everyone to look the same.

I hope that this helped!!! Good Luck!!!
