my cat's about 8 months old, she's a girl. she's been whining for the past two days, nonstop. meowing so freaking loudly... she breaks down and starts rolling around on the floor and has these convulsions..., waiting for a male cat. we have a male cat, but he's older and castrated.
i'm supposing she's in heat...?
how long does this usually take and is there anything a person has to do to help her..?
MAK answered Monday November 19 2007, 10:53 pm: Well, it does sound like she is in heat, but it also sounds that she might be having seizures. I would take her to the vet to get some blood tests. It could be something serious, but if its turns out to be just her being in heat, definitely spay her. It'll decrease the chances of her running away, and also, if she does find a non-castrated male, she will have babies, and there are more than enough cats in the world.
