I went and they gave me a 13 months supply of a birth control pill called Lutera. It's completely free if you're under the age of 18, and they won't tell your parents. It isn't necessary for you to have an exam to get it. You show up, they take your blood pressure and give you your pills. Of course they tell you a little bit about them and stuff, but other than that you'd be out of there in a half hour tops. [ alwaysandforever's advice column | Ask alwaysandforever A Question ]

However, your parents do not need to know/approve you going on birth control. If you go into a free clinic (search google maps for free clinics near your area), they are required to honor your requests if you ask them not to talk to your parents. All you need to do is answer some questions and maybe get a physical and you can get a perscription for the pill. [ the_unexpected's advice column | Ask the_unexpected A Question ]
yourrtrustyhelpline answered Wednesday November 14 2007, 7:41 pm: you can try asking for the birth control that gives you shorter and less periods. tell your mom that getting your period all the time along wtih school and everything else is stressing you out, so you want the kind that makes you get only like four periods a year or something like that. i don't know if it'll work, but it just might.
