1)ask your girlfriend's parents if theres any food you should bring. maybe you could bring a dessert or something. :]
2)they will probably just ask you questions so answer them politely. you can ask questions too.. but don't get too personal. you don't want to be rude.
3)be nice. be funny. be outgoing. be easygoing. don't swear or say anything naughty to your girlfriend in front of them :] haha

Hannahxo answered Friday November 9 2007, 11:43 pm: 1.) The best thing you can do is offer help. Talk to your girlfriend's parents & ask them if they need anyone to bring a sidedish or dessert. If they say everythings covered, offer help in other ways like clearing the table/cleaning/washing dishes after the meal.
2.) The parents are more likely to ask questions since they want to know more about who's dating their daughter. From there, it won't be hard developing a conversation. Take the opportunity to brag about what school you got into, the things you have planned for your future..things parents like to hear. :) & to show that you aren't self centered, ask them questions. Be sure to be yourself, be polite, compliment them on the food & thank them for inviting you. [ Hannahxo's advice column | Ask Hannahxo A Question ]

2) Talk about your relationship, they'll probably ask you questions first.
3) Don't give a bad impression, don't look akward. Just be yourself. Don't be nervous.
