I felt the same exact way you do with you english teacher except with my math teacher, she was all like "You should already know this stuff and should have already been taught it last year" and well WE DIDNT and so she barely taught it! and so i'm like dude wtf! why cant you just teach it! and i was so frusterated and i was on the verge of failing that class, and she gave like 2 worksheets of fifty problems each like EVERY day and it was just so overwhelming, but i got a tutor and i went to tutorial which is where the teachers give extra help in the morning times before school and well my grade rose from a D all the way up a B- and TRUST ME IT WORKS, its better then sitting there in class staring at a quiz not knowing what the hell is going on. No one will judge you if you go and ask your english teacher for help trust me, this is higschool YOU DO NOT WANT TO FAIL, you will regret it later exspecially if you drop out. So go ask your english teacher for help it will make you feel alot better afterwards trust me [ IThasJUSTbegun's advice column | Ask IThasJUSTbegun A Question ]

You're only in your second month of high school, and you're still getting used to it. I know how you feel-- every one of my middle school teachers warned me that high school would be a big change from middle school but I didn't really believe them until I got there.
I suggest staying after school one day to talk to your english teacher about any assignment you are confused on-- he is there to help you. If you still don't get it/don't want to do that, ask a friend in your class. I'd also recommend visiting your guidance counsler. The reason they exist are to help you with problems like these, and they may recommend things you can do to make your work easier.
Basically, don't stress out too much. There are plenty of people who don't adjust right away, but eventually you'll figure it out. Good luck! [ beckyboo's advice column | Ask beckyboo A Question ]
