Volunteering. Can I offer to be a volunteer somewhere where they don't advertise for volunteers?
As in, would it be odd to email them and offer to be a volunteer even if they don't have a history of taking on volunteers?

Actually, I think it's a great idea. It shows that you really want to volunteer there, even though they don't have a volunteer program. I think it proves how much you want to work at that particular place. ]
It wouldn't be odd at all. There is no harm in e-mailing them. You should go for it! ]
I think it would be okay to offer your services as a volunteer. Many places would probably appreciate the helping hand. :) ]
Yes, you can volunteer anywhere. But don't go to a place like publix or something because..well that would be kindof stupid; I don't know why. Go to a place like a day care center or maybe a nursing home for elderly or a homeless shelter. You need to go somewhere where people or things are in need of help. ]
