other side of bed

Question Posted Monday October 15 2007, 12:15 pm

hi. i think im going to do something for my mum. just because she's great. now her room isnt somewhere you would think of relaxing. so im thinking i might spruce it up a little. im going to move all her clothes into the spare room, so its like a wardrobe room, and then put a bedside table on one side of the bed. its jsut me and my mum, so she has the double bed to herself, and i cant afford another bedside table. im going to put a new lamp on the table, and get some artwork for her, and expensive bedsheets.

my question is...what can i put on the other side of the bed? to make it look more symetrical? i cant get another bedside table, so what could i get?

A floor lamp would be perfect if she reads at night. Otherwise, you can just go to furniture stores that are having "going out of business" sales.. there's a lot of them and you can really find some great bargains. Even if you don't know what to get, just look around for ideas, and you might find something that's perfect.

that is SOOO sweet. there's a lot of things you could use. you can put a big plant there or take a chair and put sculptures on it so it acts as a bedside table. maybe you could get a floor lamp and put little nick nacks on the bedside table. if you get something that is the same color of the bedside table then it would look more symetrical,

What a nice idea! If you have any second hand or thrift stores in your area, you might find some good bargains there on tables. You would find something you could use. :)

That is such a good idea :)

You could put a medium sized plant there or a smallish sculpture or a decorative plate with big candles :)

hope this helped
