Take into consideration your health is a lot more important than work. After the whole sore throat part is over you know you'll be getting better soon. you'll be anxious to go out and do things and be with friends and stuff but your gonna realize really fast that you'll be out of breath and extremely exhausted. please take my advice and stay home for a few weeks and drink many liquids. try tea with honey and lemon and if your conditions worsen go to a doctor they can prescribe u some pain medication. If you dont stay home and wait it out you could have a relapse and you'll be in a hospital for weeks and it will get worse. so make you're health your first priority right now.. mono is more serious than people think. rest up and feel better!

I had mono& I was out of school for a month, all you need to do is rest& drink alot of fluids.. there's no way you can quicken it you just have to wait it out, have your mom or something rent you movies, and drink alot of liquids, (espically gatorade and apple juice.) you should be able to get back pretty quickly. From what I have read, those who don't spend days in bed recover more quickly than those who do. You will still suffer from bouts of fatigue, just nap a lot when you are home and able too without feeling guilty about it. [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]

But you'll be a lot better off if you take one day off work to rest and get better, as opposed to going when you're still sick, doing a half-assed job, and possibly getting other people sick. Like if you go to school when you're sick and for the entire day, you're sitting there thinking "I would be so much better off sleeping right now".
