It's illegal, disgusting & tacky.

Both can get in a lot of trouble; but the teacher can get it worse. I suggest you don't do it.

In the vast majority of cases, it is unethical and sometimes even illegal for a student and a teacher to become romantically involved. Such a relationship creates a situation where the teacher can no longer be objective, might be suspected of favoritism, and puts a major strain on the professional relationship. There is simply too much conflict of interest.

The only time when I would say that it's permissible is when (a) both parties are adults, and (b) the instruction is for personal rather than professional reasons. No one's going to particularly care if you're dating the guy who teaches your biweekly pottery class that you're taking just for fun.

Most learning institutions have very strict rules against professors dating students. It's just not a good idea.

the teacher can lose their job if you're a minor, which is really bad for them. it would be okay if you graduated or whatever and were no longer officially that teacher's student. that's my opinion. i know some teachers that have married students before, so it's not nasty, but it just depends on the situation. use your judgment, and make sure that the teacher won't lose their job over it.

I think it is wrong. Teachers are there to teach
children. Children easily get crushes on teachers
and any teacher who takes advantage of that belongs in jail with all the other pedophiles.

Just because they have a job that would otherwise garner them respect doesn't mean they don't go into professions where they can prey on victims. So it is very wrong.

Well, first and foremost (and most important) it is illegal.

What do I think about it? I think it is wrong.
A teacher is a role model, not a lover. Sure, kids get infatuated with different teachers and what not, but for a teacher to act upon that is taking advantage of the student. Why? Because the teacher is the adult, and the student is the child.
