Soup is great since it's a hot liquid(soothing to your throat) and because of the nutrients.

Try tea, juice, and foods high in vitamin C.

Don't have anything too acidic or a lot of dairy, because that might make your throat feel worse.

Most importantly, make sure you stay hydrated!

Soup, orange juice, and toast.

Two things you can try:

Airbourne- vitamins and herbs to keep you from getting sick and help you get better faster. It's in the form of a tablet, which you drop into water and it makes a fizzy, flavored drink. Comes in yummy flavors like grapefruit and lemon-lime and very portable- any time you start feeling sick, take it 3 times a day. (Walgreens, Walmart)

Emergen-C- for daily use. It's a drink packet that has your recommended amounts of vitamins, comes in several different flavors. It makes me more energized and keeps me from getting sick, I swear by it. A little pricey but a box of it will last you ages. (Trader Joe's, Walgreens, possibly Walmart)

Hope you feel better soon!

Soup is good. Try as well vitamin c (ei oranges), garlic, and something spicy if you are congested to open up your nose. Putting a hot, wet cloth over your nose helps open your nasal passages, and a cold compress might help if you get any cold headaches.

Basically, you could take many pills and such to boost your immune system, but in order to stay healthy, the main thing is really not to overstress yourself. It doesn't sound very secretive, but seriously, it is probably the one thing that helps ward off colds and other such illnesses the best. Do things that make you happy, allow time each day to relax, and get enough sleep. Most sicknesses are actually caused by people who work too hard, worry too much, and don't listen to their bodies.

I answered a question like this a couple of days ago..

** Don't eat fried foods.

** Get plenty of rest.

** Eat soups/yoghurt.

** Eat fruits rich in vitamin C. I suggest drinking glasses of orange juice.

** Have a hot relaxing bath.

** If you have any vapor rub, apply it to your chest.

** If you have Eucalyptus oil, inhale a few times during the day.

They should relieve your symptoms.
Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Spinach and broccoli both have higher levels of vitamin C than oranges do.

Obviously oranges...

Innocent smoothies do a vitamin C superfoods smoothie, which will help and tastes yummy.

Basically, any food with vitamin C.

I used to have the same problem, but then I started eating spinach :) xxx
