Just eat an apple, yes it is bad to eat at night, BUT eat something healthy and small. When i mean small, dont get something that your going to get stuffed by and go to sleep with a full stomach. nope, wont help with losing weight.
hanbone answered Saturday September 1 2007, 6:17 pm: It is sligtly worse to eat at night latter than 9 b/c when you sleep you do not burn anything off....especially carbs and sweets.
Fruit, Vegitables, and popcicles are great to snack on at night when you just want to eat something!!
Some of my favorites are celery b/c you chew it for a while and it makes you think you have eaten more than you have. Cabage is also good. Carrots are very good for you health especially your eyes. And popcicles are great all the time!! :) Hope i helped! [ hanbone's advice column | Ask hanbone A Question ]
Alin75 answered Saturday September 1 2007, 6:14 pm: Its not bad to eat at night. Your body needs nutrients all day long, even while you sleep. Its a question of what you should eat.
Thing is, you should never really be going around feeling really really hungry. Thats usually a sign you arent getting what you need, and it usually backfires with excessive eating, and particularly of excessive carb eating (which is what you are craving). It also leads your body to digest the wrong things (i.e. your muscles).
So, go eat. Just keep the carbs low, and make the meal fairly protein rich. Good suggestions include cottage cheese, lean meats of all sorts, tuna, etc. Supplement with a few vegetables and also a little good fat from a good oil or some unsalted nuts.
Remember you should have a small balanced meal every 3- 4 hours during the day. It keeps your metabolism going, keeps you well nourished, and it will help you lose weight.
LOL_x0x answered Saturday September 1 2007, 6:11 pm: What you should do- Eat something.
What you should eat- Fruit, crackers, vegetables, or something small, light, and without sugar and fat.
The reason it's bad to eat at night, is because your body is calming down and getting ready for sleep. When you eat, you get energy again, etc, making it hard for you to relax and fall asleep.
So stop eating 2 hours before you go to bed and you'll be fine.
But if you're really hungry, like I'm assuming you are/were, then don't starve yourself. Just have something light like listed above =]
