What is the difference beetween gel nails and acrylic nails? Which one is better *lasts longer, looks prettier, which one is worth my $*

Personally I think gel nails are ugly.
They are way too chunky, look really fake, and they look cheap.
But ironically they are more expensive then acrylics.
Yes acrylics do ruin your nails more but they are meant to be on for awhile so they shouldn't be taken off right away anyway and once you grow your nails out, they look fine.
Plus acrylics look nicer and are more natural looking, plus cheaper!
So my vote goes towards acrylics.

gel nails are definately better. they last longer, and are definately worth the money. they are a little more expensive, but worth it.

i have acrylics on now and i got a solid pink & they look really pretty and they weren't expensive. they're strong too.
i've seen gels gone "bad" before...some girls have really ugly ones and they paid twice as much for them so i would go with acrylic. <3

Gel nails tend to cost more, but they are definitely worth the money. They are stronger and shinier and it's only a few dollars more.

both of them make your nails EXTREMELY weak when you get them taken off.
but gels don't mess your nails up as bad as acrylics.
but if you are going to get solid colors, get acrylic. but if you are always planning on a french manicure definatley get gels.
