How do I tell him the whole truth? I'm really scared...
Question Posted Wednesday August 15 2007, 7:31 am
I'm 17, and 5 years ago something really horrible happened to me. I accidently let it slip to this guy I really like and he said he wanted to hear the whole story, but I was too scared to tell him then... I haven't been able to sleep for 3 days, and I think I do want to tell him what happened, but theres no way I can just bring it up in convresation, I'm too scared, plus he hasnt even mentioned it since I told him, I don't know if thats because he doesn't care or he thinks its what I want...
How can I tell him? Should I even bother?

Just tell him "I didn't tell you the entire story, and it's really bothering me." I'm sure he will be more than willing to listen to you and not be offended that you didn't tell him the whole truth before.

Say something like, "Hey, I was really scared when I was telling you about what happened to me, and I was too scared to tell you the rest, but it's bothering me that I didn't, so I wanna tell you now." If he wanted ot hear the whole story, I'm sure he cares about you, and he may even like you. If you guys start a relationship, it's best that he knows so that you wont always be hiding the rest of that story from him. The reason he didn't mention it in conversation is probably because he knew that you were scared, he probably though you just didn't like talking about it or something. So, try confronting him online or anytime when you 2 are alone. Hope I helped, good luck. =] [ footballchick2's advice column | Ask footballchick2 A Question ]
