Weight.

Question Posted Saturday August 4 2007, 5:13 pm

I'm 14, a little over five feet, maybe 5'1, and 104 pounds. I was 90 last year but I went on the birth control pill and gained 10 pounds. I'm off of the pill now.

I've never worried about my weight, and I enjoy staying in shape although I'm not. I am a member of a local gym but I don't go as often as I'd like cause my parents are always too busy to take me.

So far I've only cut soda out of my diet. I drink water now instead of soda. It's hard for me to diet because I'm in love with junk food and I don't like that many healthy foods but if I really had to diet, I would.

I'm not going to ask "do you think im fat
because I hate that question. I'm not giving a link to a picture, so you won't be able to tell if I'm fat anyways but do you guys think I need to start dieting? And what are some easy exercises I can do at home for the days that I don't go to the gym? I'm not willing to go for a walk or a run and the only machine I have is a old treadmill.

Sorry this is so long but thanks a ton!

okay, you don't have to worry. i am just a little over 5 feet. and like 110. you don't have to go to the gym to "work out". you can do sit ups on your floor. and get some use out of that old tredmill. and why not go on a walk with some friends. thats a great way to work out. jut try it. or ride your bike instead of getting a ride. swimming is another great way to work off some calories. and give yourself a junk food treat once or twice a day. but also try like fruit cups and healthy snacks. there good too!

Don't go on a diet without talking with your doctor. the people on advicenators don't usually know what your proper weight should be. I think your fine because I'm 4'11 and my doctor said I should weigh about 110. I'm in love with junk food too and even though you don't need a diet you should cut back now because weight will show up eventually.

Well I am 14 and I weigh 186 and I am in a similar situation but every situation has its own conditions but, I still drink soda and diet soda and I watch what I eat so I am on a half on half off diet I guess but I have lost 2lbs a week since starting and *this is a little embarrassing but** my granda went to a store called GNC for me and bought these pills that boost up your energy so you can burn off MORE weight if your not into pills they have protien shakes and everything. My uncle is a body-builder and he uses this although if you really are serious about this you can just go to walk-in clinic and talk to a doctor or you could simply just walk 20 minutes a day take a friend or an MP3 player. You can aso google things. The best of luck to you and let me know how it works out!!!

Well if you want to loose wait because you feel as if you should and you are not happy with the way you look and want to do something about it then you can as long as you PUSH YOURSELF to do so. Drinking water is a good idea, its much healthier. So if you want to loose weight go to your local gym when you can and try doing a few sit-ups and crunches in the morning when you wake up and at night too. At least have half an hour exercise push yourself but if you do this and keep eating unhealthy food then you will most likely get nowhere, you have to watch where you eat and everytime you are tempted to eat junkfood just tell yourself if you eat it then it will go to a certain place on your body which you dont want it to go and swap it for fruit or something, but remeber everyone is different and you are beautiful just the way you are. =] x

crunches, lunges, pushups...those are all good exercises. But if you honestly want to lose weight or get toned you have to be willing to do some cardio. That means WALKING and RUNNING, ok?
you sound kind of lazy to me. ride your bike to the gym if you want.

I do not think you do. You are at the perfect weight. I would stick to not drinking soda though, because it is really bad for you.

Hope I helped:]
