Even though the people who have answered have very good points, xxx does not only go to hardcore porn. xxx can also mean straight edge. I looked it up cause I knew I would be having some trouble explaining it. Here is what I have found:

Well, as everyone has said, XXX is a rating for the hardest-core pornography. But a lot of people have it in their screennames, and they aren't intending to mean it like that. Since it's really hard to get the screenname you want (because they're all taken), people will add XXX or OOO or XOX before & after the name they want. (For example, the screenname ashley might be taken, but xxxashleyxxx or xoxashleyxox might be available). It's sort of like a "decoration" around the name, and it helps give you a better chance of getting the screenname you want.

well xxx stands for pronography "hardcore xxx action". it usually means that that person is looking for something sexual, and it usually means that she's a slut.=p

It usually refers to pornography. Idk if you have ever watched it, but it usually says something like 'hardcore xxx action'. It's a very sexual notation, and not a very good thing to be showing in your screen name, people could get the wrong impression and think your friend is a whore or something.
