i want to streach my ear hole, but the hole i got when i was a baby the 1st piercing its a standerd earing probly done with a gun.
what guage is a standerd ear piercing????
thanxx
i want to up to a 00 gauge but, from a standerd ear piercing, what guage shall i go up too the 1st time i use the tool to streach it?
I suggest you go to a piercing place and ask them what guage you have in, if they can find out. Then try and get more safety tip information on guaging your ears.
You can go to Hot Topic and get guages of all different sizes. I suggest you go to a 16G the first time then move to the next one [14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 0] Make sure that you do it safely and be patient. Make sure everything is sanitary when you guage! If you want, you can go to a piercer and they should be able to help you with guaging it. But know that your ears won't get back to the normal size after you go past 14G or 12G.

Gauges STINK!! like once you get them to an 8 or so youll understand. But to answer your question about the streching, there is a gage that looks like a little claw its the easiest way to gauge . It streches your ear slowly, they are called talons. [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
this page has a few you need to get a much smaller one though. It streches your ears fast. I went from an earing size to a zero. then two months later went to a 00. and just last year i went to a half inch.
Good Luck. [ catiemiller's advice column | Ask catiemiller A Question ]
Amarete answered Wednesday August 1 2007, 8:04 pm: I think most standard earrings are 20 gauge, sometimes 18 gauge. I would buy an 18 gauge set to start and see if they are uncomfortable in your ear. Just keep increasing the gauge size as slowly or quickly as you feel comfortable with until you reach your goal. 00 is pretty big, so at some point increasing the gauge is going to start hurting more. Just remember to take it slow and keep the earrings in as much as possible. Good luck. [ Amarete's advice column | Ask Amarete A Question ]
crackthesky answered Wednesday August 1 2007, 7:55 pm: well if you want your ears gauged, you buy the size of the gauges you want from like, hot topic and you stretch your ear, yourself.
its a do it yourself type of thing.
just buy the next size up from wherever you are, and put it in your ear to stretch it.
