what is the difference between stride and pace? and i had my first cross country practice today & im a little sore, so any tips on getting the soreness to go away quickly?

pace is the speed that you are running, how fast or slow, and stride is how far you are moving your legs while running. for soreness you could try minor pain medication, gold bond muscle cream, or a hot bath with epson salts. good luck.

Stride is like the length you move your legs when you run, where as pace is more of the speed you run.
The only thing I can think of to help with soreness is take an ibuprofen and run a hot bath. Your muscles will get used to running long distances surprisingly quickly, so just keep at it and before you know it, you'll be running 5 miles with ease.
