I found a kitten the other day at work, I think it was dropped off there. It is infested with fleas they are all over him. I have given him the treatments that you squirt stuff behond there necks, I have given him a flea bath but they are still all over him. What else can I do to get rid of the fleas. I feel bad because I am leaving him in a rabbut cage thats pretty big in the garage, because I don't want to bring him in the house and get all my other animals infested, so what else can I do to eliminate all these little critters? Any help would be very appriciated! Fast Too!

I noticed some of the different posts in reply to your dilema, and I just want to point out that some flea products are NOT to be used on kittens! I believe that that Frontline and probably any that are applied like that are NOT to be used on kittens. My best advice to anyone who can afford it, is to take a kitten or puppy to the vet when they have alot of fleas (they can die from too many fleas) and let the vet handle it. If you can't afford it, then call a local vet and ask for advice on what to do - they won't mind as they car about animals and getting calls like that comes with the profession. Always read the back of the package before buying any flea meds when dealing with kittens or puppies. [ maggiesmom's advice column | Ask maggiesmom A Question ]

Jeanne answered Tuesday July 24 2007, 1:42 am: Take him to the vet. They'll be able to give him a flea bath with stuff that is much stronger than what you buy at the store. If you can't take him to the vet, though, give him another bath with the flea stuff you have, and then get a flea comb and comb him out really good. The flea combs are sold at most grocery stores for about $2.00 and they really work well! [ Jeanne's advice column | Ask Jeanne A Question ]
clarayow answered Monday July 23 2007, 11:40 pm: I would say, the best thing is to bring him to a vet and get the right medication. He might need oral medication. You'll never know. Bring him to a vet immediately. [ clarayow's advice column | Ask clarayow A Question ]
o0Yourmom0o answered Monday July 23 2007, 9:51 pm: Maybe if you give him a bath, then put the flea stuff on him it will get better. Also take old blankets or towels you dont need any more and put them in the rabbit cage to make it comfy :D [ o0Yourmom0o's advice column | Ask o0Yourmom0o A Question ]
