fleas I found a kitten the other day at work, I think it was dropped off there. It is infested with fleas they are all over him. I have given him the treatments that you squirt stuff behond there necks, I have given him a flea bath but they are still all over him. What else can I do to get rid of the fleas. I feel bad because I am leaving him in a rabbut cage thats pretty big in the garage, because I don't want to bring him in the house and get all my other animals infested, so what else can I do to eliminate all these little critters? Any help would be very appriciated! Fast Too!

I hope by now that you got your cat's flea problem taken care of. I noticed some of the different posts in reply to your dilema, and I just want to point out that some flea products are NOT to be used on kittens! I believe that that Frontline and probably any that are applied like that are NOT to be used on kittens. My best advice to anyone who can afford it, is to take a kitten or puppy to the vet when they have alot of fleas (they can die from too many fleas) and let the vet handle it. If you can't afford it, then call a local vet and ask for advice on what to do - they won't mind as they car about animals and getting calls like that comes with the profession. Always read the back of the package before buying any flea meds when dealing with kittens or puppies. ]
Yes take it to the vet right now ]
Take it to the vet immediatly, it could have somethig wrong with it. my mother is a vet and i have asked her this. ]
Try Flea and Tick Powder. it works on Cats, Kittens Dogs, and Puppies. It kills fleas fast and it has long lasting control.
Hope this helped

Dont use the Flea stuff too much if the kitten is too small youll end up killing it.
You can wash is with dish detergent... Then take a comb and comb the kitten out.
Keep doing that until theyre gone then use Frontline to keep them gone. ]
I bring my cats to the vet and they can give them flea collars and some stuff to put on their fur. ]
Take him to the vet. They'll be able to give him a flea bath with stuff that is much stronger than what you buy at the store. If you can't take him to the vet, though, give him another bath with the flea stuff you have, and then get a flea comb and comb him out really good. The flea combs are sold at most grocery stores for about $2.00 and they really work well! ]
I would say, the best thing is to bring him to a vet and get the right medication. He might need oral medication. You'll never know. Bring him to a vet immediately. ]
Maybe if you give him a bath, then put the flea stuff on him it will get better. Also take old blankets or towels you dont need any more and put them in the rabbit cage to make it comfy :D ]
First- I would like to say that it was very awesome of you to take the cat with you. That was really nice.. and I think its horrible when pets are abandoned...
Anyway, you may find this search helpful:
Here are a few of the websites from that search:

It says to use a vacuum, insecticides [probably not the best thing to put on the cat], and medicines for pets.

I hope those help- and hopefully the cat will be better soon!
