i really haven't ever used make-up and when i do my friends tell me that it doesn't look good. I have like SUPER LONG eyelashes and when i use mascara it doesn't go all the way down my eyelashes.
what kind of makeup(colors, types, ects) should i use?
I have red hair, blue eyes, fair skin, and freckles, and SUPER long eyelashes. if that helps.
Black mascara is not needed. Try some clear mascara, which just separates the lashes, and leaves them looking natural, yet full.
Blue eyes? Brown eyeliner.
Blush? Light pink, or none. You can just pinch your cheeks a little bit to get a natural color.
Tinted Chapstick.
You don't want anything too over the top or complicated. Something simple. Your friends are honest, so they can probably help you with what you want.
If people say makeup doesn't look good on you, you should take it as a compliment saying that you are naturally pretty. [ kc's advice column | Ask kc A Question ]

You should use color that brightens up your eyes and don't pile on make up. Make it simple. Depending on your skin tone will influence what foundation to buy. I like Covergirl Advanced Radiance because it's really light and has sunscreen in it so you don't get a lot of freckles in the summer time. If you just want foundation to cover up your freckles, don't get foundation. Freckles are cute and if you try to cover them up, it won't look good. Only get foundation if you have a lot of blemishes. I have freckles and I only put a very little bit of foundation on them just to even my skin out. Colors that bring out blue eyes are burgundy and camel and deep purple. Don't apply one color from your lash line to your eyebrow because then you'll look drag. Start with a base color that matches your skin tone and then apply a neutral to your lid and a darker color in the crease of your eye, but you have to blend it. As for blush, people with fair skin look good with a very pale pink because it's not overpowering. If you have squinty eyes, you might want to use a little eyeliner, but if you don't think you need it, that's fine. I have blue eyes, and I love using this eyeliner, it's made especially for people with blue eyes to bring them out: Almay intense i-color eyeliner-brown topaz. Since you have long eyelashes, you don't need to buy volumizing mascara, which is a good thing, because it's more expensice. You can jus settle with a regular mascara like Great Lash (pink bottle, green cap). If you have really light eyelashes, you need to use black mascara, and if you're having trouble getting the roots of your eyelashes then try putting the brush at the root, wiggling it back and forth a little and then brush it from root to tip. No need to for intense lip color, a little chapstick will do.

For foundation or powder try L'Oreal's true match. When you buy it, you can compare your natural skin to the colors they have there. For eye make up, just try to experiment with all sorts of different colors. Pinks, & reds would look cute, but I usually try to match my eye shadow with my outfit.
