is just using a condom & pulling out effective enough? what is the chance youll get pregnant with that? we check the condom every time afterwards by filling it up with water
orphans answered Wednesday July 11 2007, 2:03 am: I've read that pulling out is only 40% effective. A condom should be fine as long as you use it right. Make sure it isn't too loose or too tight. I do recommend birth control pills, just to be safe. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

tommys_baby answered Tuesday July 10 2007, 9:44 am: Hey.
Like the other person said, a condom is only effective when used properly. When the instructions that come with condoms and follow them very closely.
The pull out method isn't a very good one. It is highly uneffective, and I don't recommend it. Usually there is pre-cum which contains little sperm, but still there is always a chance.
And checking everytime the way you do is a very good thing to do.
I feel really hypocritical answering this question, because I am pregnant. So, I guess always use a condom, every single time. No matter what.
xomegaroni answered Tuesday July 10 2007, 8:49 am: Like the box says, using a condom is usually 98-99% effective if it's used correctly. A lot of people actually do not know how to use condoms properly. We learned all of this stuff in sex ed. There is always a chance you will get pregnant. Why? Because sex is for having children obviously. As long as the condom is put on properly, it is rare for someone to get pregnant. The pulling out method is definitely not effective. There's always a chance. If you really don't want to become pregnant, don't have sex.
