tattoo & a wedding dress

Question Posted Monday July 9 2007, 6:48 pm

okay so i want to get a tattoo of a small butterfly on my shoulder (color: dark blue, dark purple, or black), but i'm asking for honest opinions whether people will think that it looks trashy with a wedding dress when i get married because you will be able to see it.

i honestly think it would look trashy if you leave it uncovered... but you can cover it up with makeup so that people can't even tell it's there if you want. so if you want to get it, then do what you want because if you decide that you don't want it to show on your wedding day, you can always cover it up.

Ok, so your opinion may change in the years between now and your wedding.

If you want the tattoo, get it. If you want it to show when you wear the fabled dress, good- all set. If you don't want it to show, they have cover-up kits you can purchase in the bridal shop. ;)

Personally, I don't think it would look trashy. I got married with my tattoo showing, and it is a black and white tattoo of a yin-yang surrounded by sunburst.
I didn't really care if other people thought it looked trashy. Hell, I was the bride and it was my day.

certain people have different opinions. Its just a butterfly. I dont think its trashy, But older people may think its trashy. But as long as you and your mand dont have a problem then go ahead.
Then you said its going to be small, so I dont see an issue.

i honestly think it would look really cool! you should be unique with it. if you want it to match with your dress better, make sure it's VERY small, like, about the size of a penny, possibly, and have it be one solid color. prefferaly black.
that way, it will match with things in the future, and will look good with your wedding dress.
i don't think a tatoo would look trashy, unless you get a large, multi colored, very intricate kind of thing.

congradulations on the wedding, and good luck wiht your tattoo! :)

xoxo
