New School Year, New Me

Question Posted Thursday July 5 2007, 8:47 pm

I'm going back to school in about two months, so the summer vaca just began. When I go back to school I want to be different. I'm a nice person and everything and I talk enough, but I want to be more outgoing and more talkative and different. What should I do to change ?

I'm pretty sure you are 13. Am I right? I'm going to feel dumb if i'm wrong. Haha.

Anyways, i'm going into my Junior year in highschool, and honestly this is the first year I haven't thought about wanting to "change". Or become a "new person" for when school started back. It worked for the first week. But after that, everything went back to the way it was the year before. That's just usually how it goes.

You shouldn't want to change who you are to gain popularity or status. But if you want to make new friends and become an overall more friendly person, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Basically, be nice. That's all anyone can really say. If someone is sitting at a table alone, sit with them or ask them to sit with you. Smile at people and 90% of the time, you will get a smile back. =]

Some girls below me said not to be fake. I agree. But there isn't anything wrong with being friendly. Be nice..to everyone. If that's what you want, then you aren't being fake.

It's not wrong to want to be liked. It's wrong to change who you are in order to be liked.

You should work on being yourself, instead of being someone else.

You could try fferig to help others, join clubs andmeet people to talk to. Just be your self, have pride, but be cool. Don't try to make yourself look better than everyone else. Good luck

i agree with the person below me, BUT changing that fast will make people think your fake. three girls at my school always smile, but i know everyone knows their fake. they told their ex bff that they only smile to make others like them.. wow, i wont say everything. but just SLOWLY when school starts, or now, start talking to other people, but all at once. just slowly do it. hope i helped<3

Be comfortable with who you are.. you'll become more confident!

Don't become cocky or stuck up.. be who you are and be happy with who you are!

Don't be a fake person or someone who talks about others! Become friends with people who you wouldn't normally mix with! You could infact save a life..!!

Always smile.. a smile makes a person so beautiful that they shine!

Just be a happy person and appreciate everything that you have!
