i found that tabs help out alot. my favorite site is ultimate-guitar.com. that way you can look at the tabs and play along with the song you are trying to learn.

my boyfriend and i's one year annivarsary is ina week and im not sure what to get him. i have $70 left to spend. i was thinking about getting him a guitar but i cant find a cheap yet good one. shud i get him that or somethin else? he does concerts and is amazing at many different instruments so i dont wana get him a beginners one. i also wanted to customize it, like write on it or draw since he loves my art but what shud i write? we really love eachother and he goes threw soo much for me just an example, i have had cancer and ben hospitalized so many times for bein psycho and it hurts him so bad as hes ben with me threw it all.. we're both 15 nearly 16 (link)

i'm sorry that this response is so late but i didn't see it til now. as a guy musician i would suggest not getting the guitar for him because that's kind of a guy thing, like girls like to buy their own bras. buy him a concert ticket for two. i love going to a good concert. guitar hero is also always fun. if you want to be really sentmental, buy him a build-a-bear. i go crazy for for build-a-bears. guys like stuffed animals just as much as girls.

this may not be what your looking for but i'll tell you what i think. if your very talkative and he's shy then he likes you doing all the talking. i'm a shy guy and my girlfriend always yells at me for not talking enough but only because she's also really shy and feels wierd talking alot. if you want him to talk then just keep it loose and ask alot of question. the questions should be dumb, playful kind of questions like "do you like me?" or "am i pretty?", stuff like that/ just keep it loose. it's not such a bad thing that you're the vocal one in the relationship. you may feel out of place but he feels relieved that your the talkative one. i hope that helped a little bit.

i don't know what music you're into but if you wanna feel some emotion you should listen to alot of nirvana and alice in chains. both kurt cobain, of nirvana, and layne statley, of alice in chains, are dead. they both did alot of drugs, especially heroin and put alot of emotion into their music.

no offense, but those bands suck, in my opinion. if you like them though taht's OK, it's your opinion. i really think you should give some of the rock gods a shot though, like led zeppelin, black sabbath, and pink floyd. alot of kids right now listen to the stuff you listen to, which is cool because evereyone has the right to listen to whatever they want, but the legends are neglected. i guarentee that bands like fall out boy would be put to an end if every high schooler listened to a led zeppelin album.

this girl seems a bit cruel to me. she's leading you on by calling you and starting conversations with you then she's telling you she doesn't want to go out with you right now for some mysterious reason. if you think she's worth it you should persue her but don't let her maneuver you all the time like a puppet master. when you talk to her you should really get down to business and ask her what's going and if she still tells you she doesn't wanna date right now you should find out exactly why.

-disturbed (alot of killer cuts with cool chorus hooks)
-godsmack (not the best band but they don't dissapoint with their heavy sound)
-korn (the earlier stuff especially is excellent, fieldy plays bass like no other)
-lamb of god (not a big fan of their growling vocals but the guitars are brutal)
-marilyn manson (very interesting stuff, there is more to this guy than anti christianity and crossdressing, #2 on my favorites list)
-metallica (legendary, just don't listen to anything they released after the black album)
-mudvayne (real heavy, especially early stuff, real interesting style, bassist is real good)
-nine inch nails (trent reznor is a god)
-pantera (dimebag is an outstanding guitarist, maybe the best modern heavy metal guitarist of all time)
-rob zombie (really cool style of shock rock)
-slayer (real gritty, fast metal with lots of awesome dark guitar riffs)
-slipknot (my all time favorite, the ultimate remedy for pissed off teenagers)
-stone sour (heavy but melodic, corey taylor does a real excellent job in this band)
-system of a down (wacky wacky band but they are real fun to listen to)
-tool (great band that does alot of experimentation)

i'm not sure if any other cities [or towns, as the one i'm in] do this, but every friday night at midnight at a local cinema, a theater company puts on the rocky horror picture show. one of my best friends goes almost every week, and this friday we're going. it's always themed, and everyone always dressed really provocativel/slutty. but other than that, i don't really know what it is. is it an actual show, like a play production, or is it a movie [although i know its based on the movies], or what. if anyone has any idea, that would be helpful (: (link)

rocky horror picture show is a really wacky musical. i won't give it away but these newlyweds break down in front of a mansion and they go inside and some really weird stuff goes on, the owner of the mansion is a cross dressing transvestite. it's just very very weird and there is a good chance you'll get a stomach ache after you've watched it for the first time.

a nice guy will usually look down when walking by you in the halls and he'll kind of ignore you, unintentionally. it sounds weird but its true. usually a guy that is overly comfortable around a girl the first couple times is just looking for a quick relationship with a good ending, for him. again, i know it sounds weird but it's true.

Alright, so this might be a dumb question but i don't know what to do. There's two boys, one just graduated and we'll call him A. The other i've never met in person and don't know him that well, but he's adorable and so nice to me, B. I'm going to be a sophomore which makes it difficult to look forward to anything happening with A. B, is going to be a senior, but he lives about 20 minutes away.
A is a great kid. An all around parent-pleaser. I just don't know what to do! I almost feel guilty for "leading" both of them on. Then again nothings REALLY happening yet. AH, i'm so confused. (link)

A sounds cool but he's going to college and deep down he probably doesn't want to be chained up because he has a relationship with a sophmore in high school. if you don't break up with him, there is a good chance he will break up with you once he sees all the new attractive college girls. whatever you do, its never good to give out false, thst could really throw the guy off and make him resent you. at least if your honest, the guy will respect you.

okay, there's this boy that i can't decide if i like or not. Half the time, he's the sweetest guy i've ever met. the other half, he's a horrible jerk. he'll be a total jerk to me (although he says he's just kidding, it's still very cruel), then when i get mad at him, he'll be super sweet. Whenever he calls or texts me, i can't help but smile, because it's always something funny or sweet. But in some ways, i can't stand him. He's really shallow sometimes. he's had girlfriends, broken up with them, and had another a day later. i don't want to be one of those girls. but what if he asks me out? i think he might like me. i'm probably being a downer but i think you should avoid going out with this guy. as a 17 year old guy in high school, i know a thing or two about how guys are, the way they act and pretend to get what they want. i'd have to say at least 75% of guys in high school are full of sht when they talk to girls. guys aren't going to change while they're in high school because they'll always be in the same atmosphere, like same friends and stuff like that. so if he's had a bunch of girlfriends so far, he'll probably continue the same trend.
