Ok I disagree with the answers below. Now, just to explain, of course exercise helps you lose weight. It keeps you healthy, it makes you a more energetic person, and it burns calories. However, one does not NEED to exercise to lose weight.

Weight loss is a product of a negative calorie balance. If you burn more calories than you eat you will lose weight. Its simply not true that you cannot lose weight without exercise. You can lose weight without ever lifting your behind from the couch... you just have to eat less than you burn. Of course, its easier and healthier with exercise.

Now, the best exercise for losing weight is cardio. Walking is fine, running is better. Running also has more cardiovascular benefits. However the key thing here is your diet.

I agree with your suggestion to lower calories by cutting down on sugar. Eat fewer fruits and replace them with vegetables. Eat many small balanced meals every day, and then, if you can, start to incorporate some exercise. Key thing though, burn more than you eat.

Good luck.

dieting wont help you lose the fat on your face...exercising is the only way to do it...go for a nice jog or a long walk in the park with some friends. Don't eat tons of sugar...not just to get rid of the fat on your face but eating too much can increase your risk for diabetes..drink lots of water...i recommend Smart Water...it has electrolytes that help keep your body really hydrated(like a gatorade) without all of the sugar and artificial stuff...just water and electrolytes...it's really good. Also don't just eat lots of fruit...eat lots of vegetables too. you need to get a good balance of everything. You need to really balance out your meals to accommodate all of the food groups. A balanced diet and exercise will help you lose the fat you want to

First off, let me just tell you that you can't lose any weight without exercising. Exercising is what burns the calories that you eat. Drinking alot of water will make the skin on your face look really healthy and soft. As for the fat on your face, go for a run, if you don't think you can do that then just go for a nice long walk. Bring a friend so you'll have someone to talk to so that you won't get bored. Or bring an i-pod or something. Just don't forget to do anything that involves exercise because you can't just lose fat on your face, you have to lose it all over.

good luck! :]
