I want to entertain in the field of singing. I'm not after fame: I actually wouldn't welcome it. I just want a bit of recognition for my ability and I'm yearning to inspire others with my voice as I have been by hearing other singers. Where do I get my start?
killerface answered Friday June 29 2007, 10:49 pm: In addition to the answers already given, you may want to take voice lessons- for the fun of it, I mean. Not merely to sound pretty, but to actually learn the do re mi's. They take a little practice, but I can honestly say that I conquered them in about two weeks.
Your teacher can help you with any problems you may be having, and can also help you pick your songs more wisely and might even [mine did, atleast] make you a few opportunities to sing at different places. [ killerface's advice column | Ask killerface A Question ]
partychick101 answered Friday June 29 2007, 10:28 pm: Just have fun with it. Kareoke at weddings, parties, ect. School or town musicals. National Anthem at sporting events. Town festivals. Walking down the street- who knows someone important could hear it.
DefinedEyes answered Friday June 29 2007, 10:19 pm: School musicals, singing at churches, singing for good causes, charities, singing the national anthem at baseball games, - all those can be inspiring and get you out there :)
Also choose your songs wisely.
