facebook: how do i remove pics

Question Posted Friday June 29 2007, 8:52 pm

ok so i got in some trbl because of facebook.... some ppl found out about certain things i did that i didnt want them to know about....

i deactivated it for a while but i reactivated it again... the problem is some people i went out with still have some pictures of me. i dont know them that well and i really don't know what to say to get them to remove it....

i really did a huge mistake by being involved.... and i swear i reformed but the thing is if any of my sibs or parents find out i am sliced meat....

what do i do???

even if i deactivate it again they still have my pictures and comments...

The person before me already mentioned de-tagging them...

If it's something serious I'm sure that there's someone you can contact such as an administrator of facebook that can remove them. If you ever find a picture of you on a website that you're not comfortable with and that you didn't give consent to be on the internet let someone in charge know and more than likely they will delete it.

Just like if you were on this site and someone had a picture of you up that you didn't want anyone else seeing - you would contact DangerNerd, the owner of the site, to have it removed.

Same with facebook, whomever is in charge there can and should delete it if you're uncomfortable with it. Especially if you're a minor (under 18).

First, ask whomever has the pictures up. If they're on your account, just delete them. If whomever else has them up then ask them to remove them. If they refuse, that's when you go to the "big kahuna" of the site and have them removed.

EDIT...

Because they're not obscene, it's more so up to what you personally want. If they were obscene (which I thought they were) then reporting it is exactly what I would do. Honestly, what do you want? If you're that worried that you don't want your parents/sibs ever finding them, then go right ahead. Are the chances high of them seeing them though? If not, then what do you truly think? If you are in any way uncomfortable with these pics, report it. Say you don't want the person to get into trouble, but you just want your pictures deleted.

well i don't know how to reply to your feedback so i'm just answering again. i think you'll have to just delete comments one by one. and the person below me makes good sense and reminded me that you can just "report this photo" and it will be taken off and they won't know who reported it
