Question Posted Friday June 29 2007, 12:19 pm

14/f.

i feel extremely sick, for the past 3-4 days. these are my symptoms ..

-constant headaches.
-stressed out.
-my stomach kills
-dizy
-i feel like im going to throw up
-cant eat
-trouble sleeping.
-cramps.
-lower back hurts.

i am however, on my period. but i've never ever ever, felt this stuff before, usually i just get cramps and the lower back hurts. ive never feeled stressed, im really laid back, and lately i feel stressed out and everything. are these common things to happen during your period? ive had mine for, like 2 years. and ive never felt this way. so, i didn't think that was causing it. has this ever happened to you?

i know no one on here are most likely doctors, or anything, but, i was just curious, if anyone has ever felt that way, or gone through it, or know anyone that has.

ok thanks so much.

Your period does seriously weird things to your body.......if you werent on your period you should be worried about feeling that way, but since you are on it, theres a 99% chance its just your period messing with your body. I get realllly bad cramps.....but i didnt get them for like the first 4 years i got my period and then BAM everytime now they're horrible. Sometimes i get bad headaches, other times i don't...it just all depends. take some midol or ibuprofen and it should help you out. Use a heating pad on your tummy to get rid of cramps and you'll probably get your appetite back.
feel better!

Hey, listen, the symptoms are probably from your period. I don't usually have symptoms when i'm on my period, exept that my back hurts, but i'm on my period right now, and this time was different. Everytime i get my period, i feel worse, so it's probably just that. the reason you're stressed or anything like that is just hormones (most likely anyway). I really hope this helped!

I've had it twice.. both during that time of the month.. and like the same as you, I don't normally get bad ones.
It could be because of your period, or you may have picked up a virus.
Periods do cause those symptoms, but you need to be 100% so you can be prepared if it happens again.
Either way, if it persists and you still have the symptoms within, say, 3 days, consult your doctor.
Either way, period related or not, a doctor can relieve your symptoms.
I hope you feel better soon.

I've felt that way twice in my life. One of the times I just kind of randomly got the flu or something. The second time I don't know what happened but it went on for about a week or a week and a half. I barely ate the entire time which (I think) made it worse and was the cause for my dizziness and light headedness.

Although I cannot tell you what is wrong, I can tell you that I've been there. For me it may have been food poisening or something. All I can say is that it's not normal, nor fun. Been there, done that.

See a doctor, trust me. If there is something wrong then maybe the pain will go away faster. It's not because of your period. Some of them could be (cramps and maybe lower back) but more than likely it's something else, possibly something bigger.

I just want to stress that you should see a doctor, make sure that it's nothing too serious. For all you know it's being stressed and on your period that is making this seem so bad. I wouldn't take the chances though.

Feel better soon =D

Everytime I get my period I feel that way. I would reccomend going to see your doctor though, my friend was put on birth control that regulates your hormones and helps with the pain.
