What does this mean?

Question Posted Thursday June 28 2007, 12:56 am

im kind of confused by the way my boyfriend acts. most of the time it seems like he really likes me. at school, we ate lunch together every day and he always walked with me to class. now that its summer, he calls me every day and always wants to hang out. he's super affectionate when we're alone together, and also when we're around a few of his guy friends, or with another couple. but the weird thing is... whenever we're at a big party or with a whole bunch of people, he kind of ignores me. he leaves me by myself while he runs around and flirts with other girls. its like, when other girls are around, he doesnt want to act like he likes me. what do you think this means?? btw we're both 13 and have been going out for 1 1/2 years.

if he's ignoring you like that, it means that he doesnt want to look as if he has a girlfriend... dump him... find a guy that wants to be seen with you, and wont ignore you...

Although I agree with what both the other people have said I just wanted to say sdcutie717 is actually right - guys don't have all that much brainpower - especially when it comes to... well... actually it's at pretty much anything. :/ Yup, we're stupid by nature. :]

He just wants to mingle & doesn't wanna seem like he's on a leash. Flirting is no big deal. If he does something with them other than flirting, then you know it's a big deal, but I wouldn't be too hurt by this.

He's 13, this is normal behavior.

A year in a half is a long time for that age. I think that your boyfriend just wants to know that he can have fun and enjoy his middle/highschool years without being to attatched to one person. He may feel like when he's at a party, he wants to talk to talk to other people and have a good time and not be the guy that is only with his girlfriend the entire time. This is something that your going to have to deal with when it comes to guys for the rest of your life. They are very self-consious when it comes to you and other people. He's just showing off in front of his friends. It's the whole "I'm a guy and I'm not gonna let my girlfriend control me at a party. WOW, I'm cool." It sounds like you have a pretty strong relationship other than that, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. Boys just don't have the same brainpower as we do (jk) so throw him a bone. He sounds like a good boyfriend when it comes down to it.

wow ok you guys are really young for this, are you really populuar or cute? if so maybe he only hangs out with you because his friends think your hott, sounds like hes a young guy new at the sport and a total scum bag which tell him how much his flirting irritates you(if it does) and if he dosent stop then dump him
