I don't know why he's acting like this, or what I should do <<< Previous Question

things to do while "babysitting"

Question Posted Sunday June 24 2007, 10:43 am

Hello, thanks in advance for any advice.

One of my best friends' mother asked me to "babysit" her daughter (my friend's sister), but since she's in 7th grade and i'm in 9th (this fall), it wouldn't really be like babysitting...as much as just hanging out because we're so close in age. Shes coming over here, I think, because her brother will be home (my friend) at their house, and it would be weird. She wants to let her daughter out of the house for awhile, I guess, because she and her brother don't get along too well when theyre home alone together. So she's coming over around 1-2ish until 8.

Aaaaaanyways..............to my question. What are some good things to do with a girl that age? Last time we just played cards and watched TV. but we were at her house - I don't really know how to be a good...."hostess" I guess.

We have a pool, a friendly neighborhood to walk, and my mom might take us with her shopping - but other than that, what is there to do?

Thanks much :>)

Buddy, you need not consider yourself as a Babysitter at this age.You just feel like a friend accompanying her.By the way you too kill the time and try learning more things like playing mind twisting games, scrabble, mind teasers and puzzles so that you both could get a chance to improve your logical thinking capacity.Good luck!

Well, when I was in 7th grade, I was pretty much boy crazy. So if you have magazines like CosmoGirl and Seventeen, read those together because they have a lot of stuff about boys. Let her go on the computer. Give each other makeovers. Paint each others nails. Listen to music. Go through your yearbooks together. Pointing out people and telling weird stories about them is really fun =].

you could play in the pool or lay out and get tan or read magazines and talk poolside, go for a walk, do her hair, watch tv, make friendship bracelets, bake something, eat, look through yearbooks, make a craft, go shopping and take pictures of everything you try on. you're pretty close in age so you'll probably like doing anything you want to do. give her options and then just do whatever. <3

Seventh grade girls usually like to go on the computer, watch television, go in the pool, tan, and go to the mall or movies. Find out from her though which she would like to do and give her options, anything else write back =]
