biking- illegal?
Is it illegal to listen to an ipod while riding a bike IN YOUR OWN NEIGHBORHOOD (which isn't a busy neighborhood or anything)???

Depending on where you live, yes and no. I would say don't ride with it very loud or ride with both ear pieces in because you could get easily distracted or you might not realize that a car is behind you, and that can definately be dangerous with the way people drive these days. You should probably ask your city police dept. and see what the law is on that.

It would most certainly be better off without the ipod, as many things can happen to you if you can't hear your surroundings. It depends on where you live, as each state has different rules and restrictions. If you do find out that you CAN listen to your ipod, just lower the volume down or listen to ONE ear piece. Try asking your local police station for more information they should be able to help you.

You didn't say where you live. In California, you can have it in one ear and one ear only. Age and neighborhood most likely have no influence.
