is running in place the same as running on a treadmill? like does it have the same effect? i cant run outside bc the middle of a Georgia summer isnt the best for running ha.

no, it's actually not. In order to burn calories running you need to extend your legs which you can't do running in place. I would suggest that if you can't run outside then find a gym so you can use tredmills, or jump ropse, run stairs and do jumping jacks at home. those are all cardio exercises that should help. goodluck

Kind of.. but not really. The treadmill allows you to increase/ decrease your speed as well as simulate going up and down hills, thus working different muscles than just running in place on flat ground.
