But I know a lot of people thought the scene where Peter Parker was crying on the bridge, and the scene where they were dancing to Twist&Shout, was very corny, apparently. And apparently there was a lack of "character development".
And, I'm not sure if you read the Spider-Man comic books, but many comic book fans were really disappointed with Venom. Movie-version Venom was definitely not as scary as comic-version was supposed to be. He didn't have the crazy tongue, and his teeth weren't as sharp and pointy. Also, in the comic books, Venom "merged" with Eddie Brock, so instead of saying "I am Venom", they're supposed to say "We are venom", which they didn't in the movie. It's a big part of their characters, so it was a disappointment not to see it. [ beckyboo's advice column | Ask beckyboo A Question ]
