I had really oily skin but when I started using Proactiv, and it dried my skin and got rid of blemishes.
Even though it's pricey, I'd personally recommend Proactiv.

There are also skin pads that you can buy and keep in your purse for times you need spot control. [ luna45's advice column | Ask luna45 A Question ]
superstarblue89 answered Thursday June 21 2007, 4:03 pm: I have really oily skin too and I found that the best stuff was Biore astringent it helps get rid of acne while drying out the skin enough to keep it from being too oily but doesn't dry it out so much that its dry and uncomfortable...it's great for oily skin...wash your face with a good facial wash (I recommend neutrogena oil-free acne wash), pat dry your face, and use a cosmetic puff or cotton ball and put the astringent on [ superstarblue89's advice column | Ask superstarblue89 A Question ]

I had terrible acne on my back, and was prescribed an Impetigo skinwash that clears them up no problem! Try asking for impetigo facewash or something at the pharmacist.
