Siren_Cytherea answered Sunday June 17 2007, 3:40 am: How often do you eat? If it's a lot of time between meals, that could explain a lot.
I eat every 3-4 hours, and I get somewhere around 1500-2000 calories a day. (I wake up late, and like everything I eat is low calorie.)
You can fix your metabolism if that's the problem. Green tea is good for that. Timing your meals is also good.
It also depends on what your diet consists of. If you eat a lot of carbs and don't work out, that could be part of it.
Try eating more often, increase your caloric intake, and try eating more protein, and lots of fruits and veggies. Cut back on complex carbs (starches) if you haven't already, and start a workout regimen if you don't have one.

Definitely don't stop eating, that'll just make it worse - your body will go into starvation mode and store food instead of using it/burning it. Cardio is good, though. If you can jog or walk, do that for like half an hour daily or every other day. Whatever you can handle.
Good luck!

MizzMami06 answered Saturday June 16 2007, 2:46 pm: Okay. Running just firms up your legs. Try doing about 20 push-ups a day. And when you feel as though you can up the number...go to 30 push-ups per day and so on. For your legs, firming is fine. It doesn't matter what size you are. Firming is just so your legs won't jiggle. For your abs, do about 200 crunches a day. Do 50 of them, then rest for about 15-20 seconds, and do 50 again. Try doing them with your legs on the couch, or try turning you legs to one side and having your hip almost parallel to the ceiling. You can also do the bicycle method, which is sort of difficult so you might just wanna stick to the other two. You should see results in about 2 weeks if you continuously do the crunches everyday. You can also do it in the morning and at night(Which is what I'm doing) Also try being active in school activities. Such as Track, volleyball, or other sports that require exercise. christina answered Saturday June 16 2007, 12:58 am: You are how you are because you're not getting enough calories or anything else so your body stores it.
Keep exercising, and eat healthy. But don't mistake eating healthy for cutting down your calories. You need a considerable amount [2200 or more], and by cutting down your calories, it's not helping. You can still eat healthy & get that amount of calories into your diet. [ christina's advice column | Ask christina A Question ]
