I'm dog sitting this weekend! and the dog (butterscotch) died! I just came home and he was curled up under the couch. I don't know what to do!!!!!! they're coming back tomorrow, and its only a year old! omggg
Let his family know as soon as you can, so that they don't come home to find him like that and see what they want to do. You could take him to their vets as they may be able to find some clues as to the possible cause of death.

Try to call them and let them know ahead of time. Ask them what they want you to do about it.

If you know you didnt do anything to harm it, then it must have been a health problem and it's not your fault. Tell them what happened and even if you forgot to feed and water it the whole time the dog probably wouldnt die so he probably had something wrong with him. When they come home tell them everything that happened and let them know it was from a natural cause, they will believe you and not blame it on you at all.
