Well, I do have one friend. She's not in my grade so I barely see her besides weekends. & even then, she has other friends to hang out with as I used to...
Which brings me to the real topic. I lost all my school friends. They got into drinking & hanging out with people who do that & smoke & everything but.. I don't like doing that. Today I tried telling them that we're not even friends anymore & I feel stupid still acting like we are, when in reality I have none. They told me that they've changed & I haven't. & they wanna like, make the best out of high school. So I'm supposed to do what? One even told me to hang out with these other girls who I'm only sorta close with one of.. & I have social anxiety disorder so it's really hard for me to just ask people to hang out when I barely talk to them. This sucks. They made it worse by saying that I could make friends & stuff.. it just feels awful to know I have no friends at school. Even though a lot of people talk to me at school, they'd never think about asking me to hang out. Which is even worse than not having any friends besides a small clique. Now summer's coming up & I'm going to have no life.. I don't know what to do with myself right now. Should I say anything to my old friends? How do I make new ones without feeling like an idiot? How do I see my old friends & act like nothing happened?
This helps to get it out & I don't really know exactly what I'm asking here but if anyone can relate? shed some light? Please.

That is exactly what happens to me. Now over the summer I'm taking summer school, I'll make some friends there, and I'm going to join clubs and sports to get myself in some clique. you should try asking someone to hangout, and try what I'm about to try. trust measking anyone this same question, you'll get the same answers, because not everyone has been through this without changing themselves some how. you should be more open and invite all those people over for popcorn and a movie, so when those people atre asked what did u do ova the weekend. they can say thjey were with you. to make you a noticeable friend

Even tho its close to the end of the school year try asking the one girl you know if she wants to catch a movie or a bite to eat. Or maybe you can start a conversation with someone you dont really know. Try going up to them and say something like "hey i really like your shirt. Where did you get it?" if its a girl. Youll make friends in no time! Hope my advice helps! ♥ Jenny
P.S I'll be you friend! :D [ gsngirl7's advice column | Ask gsngirl7 A Question ]
Teza answered Tuesday May 29 2007, 11:23 pm: I understand that it's hard for you at school but friends and people change and you have to accept that. Your old friends are into the "party scene" and just because you aren't like them, doesn't mean you guys still can't talk and maybe hang out. I have different friends who do different things and when I hang out with them, I know better than to do it myself. I can stop myself and say it's wrong and just walk away, but they're still my friends. Do you get what I'm trying to say? If you want to make more friends at school, keep talking to those people and get closer. It wouldn't be weird if you asked them to hang out. Invite them over or go out somewhere. Just be yourself and relax. You drifted apart from some friends but it doesn't mean you won't make new ones. Things like this happen and it's not the end of the world. Get to know more people, talk to them and don't be shy. They'll like you for who you are. Even though people do some stupid things does not mean you have to follow into their footsteps.
