What can I do to get over a cold the quickest?
And does anyone know how long a cold usually lasts?
I started feeling sick yesterday,
and I have a dance next Friday,
do you think I will be better by then?
Or possibly earlier?
I rested today and am drinking plenty of water.
I have 3 more days to rest before I go back to school.
Will this help and is there anything else I can do?

Well, you want to stay warm, and sleep and rest a lot. If you're like me, you can't take naps. It doesn't matter if you don't sleep a lot, although that's the best for you. Don't do much physical activity, and pretty much drink a lot of orange juice. There's also pills that you can take to boost your immune system. I'm sorry but I'm not positive what they're called. I'm pretty sure they are called Emergen- C. They give you a lot of vitamin C, boosting your immune system, helping you heal faster. Take baths and showers in warm water too, they make you feel a lot better. Just take it easy, and don't go out. You need to get better soon so I wouldn't go out at all.

looneytune1561 answered Saturday May 26 2007, 9:41 am: if its just a little cold it will most likely be gone by next friday. just drink lots of fluids like water and juices. and it could be allergies too. at night take nyquil ( sp ) PM. and then during the day take the AM one. hope that helps [ looneytune1561's advice column | Ask looneytune1561 A Question ]
softballchickx28 answered Saturday May 26 2007, 7:46 am: If you treat your cold well than it should be gone or at least better by next friday. Here are things that you can do.
1) Have a vitamin everyday
2) Drink lots of water.
3) Drink orange juice for all of the vitamins in it.
4) You could call your family pediatrician, and ask if there is any medication that will help you get rid of it. ( I am sure they will help )
