Question Posted Thursday May 17 2007, 5:47 pm

I was outside earlier today and got two mosquito bites on my forehead! They are HUGE! Does anyone know anything that could help them dissappear? Home remedies..anything? THANKS!

aloe vera usually works for me.
try not to scratch them; they'll disappear faster.

They will disappear 4-8 hours after you stop scratching them. Put a rag soaked in extremely hot(but not boiling) water on the bite for 10 seconds; it won't itch for a day.

I've heard lemon juice actually does real well..its supposedly breaks down the enzymes in the mosquitoes bite and destroys the small amount of poison that makes the bumps...you just sprikle it on the center of the bite...then with your finger nail drag ur finger nail acrosst the bite so it breaks up the poison..do it on both of them...i read it in a natural medicine book so im not sure if it works

I'm assuming they're huge because you scratched them. Don't scratch them! That's what makes them bigger.

There's nothing you can do to make them go away. Just get some anti-itch cream & use that. Until then, wait it out & don't scratch them.
