ok so one week i had my period. it ended, but came back only 2 weeks later. then the same thing happened again and im having my period now. i know that you're not supposed to have your period every two weeks, can anybody tell me if something is wrong?
gsngirl7 answered Thursday May 17 2007, 4:25 pm: First of all I went through the exact same thing. I would have my period for up to a month and then shortly after it ended, I would get it again.
There are a number of different factors that can cause this:
1.Stress- Your body might have to much stress. If this is the case, you should be back to normal after the stress is gone.
2.Weight- In some cases, if someone is overweight, it could be putting to much of a strain on their body.
3.Period History- If you, for example, just started getting you period, then your body might need to get used to it.
If this were me, I would give it another few weeks, and if your period is still coming so often, I would go see your doctor. He/she can give you some medicine to help regulate your period. Also in some cases, girls are put on birth control to help get reqular.

look, it's totally normal if this is your first year. most girls don't regulate their cycle until around 1-2 years. if you've had your period a while, this is unusual and you should check out a gyno / doctor.
it's probably just regularizing. the average menstrual cycle should last 28-35 (at most) days.
