deleting friends

Hi. If I delets a friend from my Yahoo Messenger list and Hi5 would the friend know they have been deleted? Thanx!

they check theirr friends & see that you are not on it anymore IF your prefrences are set in a way that people have to get your permission to add you to their friends list.
