Hi im 14/f
im going to high school next year and i want a laptop for my school assignment cause my dad said they slow down our home computer.
I love art alot. so i want Photo shop, but i dont know what types there are or how much they cost. and if they work on laptops.
I have been looking at internal duos(sp?). but i also like macs. which are better?

well, again the battle between mac and PC!

For everything i choose PC! PC is more reliable than MAC! MAC only got the looks! after few years and new mac has been launch, your old one become a trash!
here are the comparison;

MAC;
-More expensive
-Great looks, best design
-More advanced graphical sytems
-Mac ARE using PC's processor(intel Core 2 duo)
-Hard to find the FREE software!
-Cannot install PC game!
-expensive to upgrade(change the parts, etc)
-MAC is only wasting our money on useless function
-Low in variety
-JUST for videoplayer, music player, internet, simple game and picture editing!
-have to install windows Xp(PC's operating sytem to do dieffrent function)

PC;
-Affordable, reliable price
-Functional looks, each brands has their own looks & design
-high in variety
-cheaper parts and cheaper upgrade
-numerous (countless free software!)Free software available to download for free!
- Countless "blackedition software"(pirated software, since it is cracked version!) but we can download it for free!
-Compatible software(you name it!)
-etc

for notebooks i choose ACER FERRARI (around$2000), ASUS Lamborghini(around$2000), HP Pavilion DV*** series, you can choose between AMD processors or INTEL both of them are great (AMD best for graphic equal to MAC and INTEL best for Multitasking)

macs are a lot more reliable than PCs, and for art and graphic design they are much much better. and since you specified photoshop, I suggest you get a mac. and macs have just as much software as pcs, and are compatible with photoshop.. i have a mac and i have not had any problems finding software for it.

Photoshop is expensive, but they'll work on lap tops. I don't recommend a mac. They aren't a leading brand so their incompatitble with a lot of common programs and softwares.
