My mom said sometimes I act ditzy, or dumb. but i don't. i'm just being silly. thats how i am. i make jokes out of everything, and i smile alot and talk alot. and i was telling my mom, how this one girl, got like all mad because i dno whatever i said, and she told me that i have to change how i am around certain people. but i'm having a hard time agreeing with that. like why should i change who i am, just to impress someone? or anything? shouldnt i be who i completely am, all the time. i dont think its right that i should have to, be more quit, or not laugh as much or whatever, just for someone to like me.
what do you think? do you think im being wrong about this?

A lot of people tell me I'm dumb or stupid a lot, but I know that I'm not. It used to make me so mad all the time. So I just told everyone that being funny and having a good sense of humor does not mean you're dumb.
Then I remembered something that made me okay with the way I act: You can't please everyone, and you shouldn't try to. Don't change for anyone, or else people might start liking you for all of the wrong reasons.
It's definitely better to stay the way you are. You win some, you lose some. That's just how it goes. Ignore it if people don't like who you are, I know that I learned to be happy with who I am.

okay there r spefic times to calm down n be serious but just around your house or your mom i say dont chnage how you are just because someone doesnt like it even if it is your mom. dont change for anyone

In a way I agree with your mother. There's a time to be goofy, and a time to be serious. When you're applying for a job, you're obviously not gonna be goofy, same way you wouldn't be goofy if you were at a funeral or a hospital. It's not to change how you are for people to like you, but to know when to be serious & when not to be.

tell your mother that you can't change a personality just because someone tol you to it is unique any way that you see it.also tell her that you are that type of person who likes to joke around alot and kind act serious when you are around her.
