Pubic Hair shaved

Question Posted Wednesday April 25 2007, 7:55 pm

I am 14 and a girl. I just shaved off all my pubes for the first time. Its all itchy. Thats probably because I didnt get the hairs close to the actual vagina. How do i get those without hurting myself?

your skin may just be irriated since it's your first time shaving it down there. after a few times it gets used to it and it stops getting so irritated.

It's always itchy and sometimes even burns a little the first time you shave down there, rather you are male or female. That will go away soon. You can use a vitamin E gel if the itching and burning is just too much for you.

As you have already been advised, shave in a warm bath and use a new razor. Always make sure you use a gel or lubricant of some kind (the Venus breeze already has the shaving gel on it, and i've heard numerous reports from females and even a couple of males who claim it's great for down there shaving) and go with the grain while shaving your pubic area. This will minimize the chance of ingrown hairs. Using a higher quality razor instead of a disposable will probably be more comfortable for the hair in the more sensitive area. Apply a slightly lighter pressure and as you've been advised, don't be afraid to pull back to get where you need.

Hope this is helpful.

It was itchy for me the first time I did it too, but it wasn't after I did it a few times. Your skin usually just has to get used to it. (CH)

Sabine answered Wednesday April 25 2007, 8:34 pm:
1) Take a warm bath and shave in there (rinse off in the shower and make sure not to leave pubes in the tub to be found by others. :))

2) Use a shave gel/foam for women, like Skintimate.

3) Use a good razor, such as a Mach III. Do not use the 99-cent store's disposable because you will regret it.

4) Don't be afraid to pull on your labia to get to where the hair is. I have known a lot of women who shave from the clitoris back but I've never known someone who shaved from the clitoris up and left the hair on the labia.

Good luck

Sabine

its best to use a new razor because it is sharper and will cut more closely.
