AskKris answered Thursday April 26 2007, 10:13 pm: Ok First off Relax! Now with out your mom knowing you can go to planed parent hood to get the pill, condoms, tests and information there. But honestly you really should talk to you mother about all this. you might not think she'll understand all this or think she might be mad but if she found out you got the pill on your own she might be more upset but it depends on how open you are with your mother. But to be put on the pill at planed parent hood they will give you a pap smear and all that is; is they take a long Q-tip and just swipe the wall of your vagina! it does not hurt. And any other questions you have you can ask them there.

foxy answered Tuesday April 24 2007, 5:59 pm: Check out your local health department: most have programs that offer free birth control and yearly exams for women your age. It's a good idea to have yourself STD tested after every partner, of course. You can have this done at your local health department or your family doctor. Planned Parenthood is a good source of information about birth control as well.
There are many options out there; find what suits you best.
At 19 you have almost no problem going somewhere without your mom finding out as long as you can go to the appointment alone or with a friend. [ foxy's advice column | Ask foxy A Question ]
saint_uk answered Tuesday April 24 2007, 8:00 am: i'm not in the US so i can't give you specific places to go to, but you do need to find a doctor or health service that you can trust - for a long, long time. so my advice is hold on for a bit, look around (ask your mates - you'll be surprised how many of them know stuff!), make contact, and then give yourself to lust! :-)
looks like your bf is understanding too, it would do him good to get a checkup as well. [ saint_uk's advice column | Ask saint_uk A Question ]
orphans answered Tuesday April 24 2007, 2:29 am: Okay. Being nineteen is good.
Your doctor. A family doctor or even get a seperate doctor for yourself [to avoid any questions asked to your mom]. Your doctor can take blood tests that can make sure you dont have any stds or aids. He/She can also put you on the pill. [if you have insurance that would be the best place to go for the pill] Also, a parenting place for young adults provids birthcontrol pills. You have to be careful though with pills because you will gain water weight. So to provent this i would rather go to the doctor and get all the info on birth control. Like i said before, being nineteen is good. You are an adult and you being an adult can make that decision without your mother knowing about you getting pills. Just be careful period. I've been through all the scare when i was your age. Remember condoms break and get the right size cause too small or too big size condoms are not good cause they can slip off or break.
