Wax strips

Question Posted Tuesday April 10 2007, 1:12 pm

Sorry, wasn't sure where to put this.

So I just used some wax strips on my legs. The kind where the wax is already on the strips.
I've never waxed my legs before, just my brows. Anyway, I've got red spots all over my leg. I have some on the other leg too but only in some places and not as much as the other leg.

Is this normal? I know redness is normal but are the spots?
Thanks.

Just to let you know, those red spots? That is where the hair used to be. It is just the follicle inflamed, because you just ripped out all that hair by the roots.
Do like the others said- use the moisturizers.

It's deffinitely normal, don't worry. Try moisturizer, it should go away within a few days. Next time you wax, and it does the same thing (your legs should be used to it) you might want to find a new product. Unless it causes you pain or discomfort, it's fine.

Hey.

I dought they are spots, so dont worry. I personaly think this could be an elergic reaction or a rash. I would ask your mom to take you to see your GP and see what he/she says about it. Dont worry about telling your GP because all of them completly understand and will give alot more advice. Your GP will probably give you some cream or medication that should help.
I hope this goes OK!

O yea, don't worry. It's totally normal.

Use moisturizers and lotions to keep your skin smooth. The spots will go away after a couple of hours but might reappear when you get in the pool or something. Some spots may cause ingrown hairs. If you want to avoid that, exfoliate the skin every once in a while.

Hope this helped!
